Pierwsze małe zaskoczenia w Halle, Ferrero poza turniejem. Przegrał z reprezentantem gospodarzy, Dominikiem Meffertem. Niemiec jednak posłał kilkanaście asów, więc ma chyba czym grać na grassie, ale z drugiej strony Villena znakomicie sobie radził rok temu na sąsiednich trawnikach w Londynie: 1/2 QC + ćwiartka na Wimbledonie.

Za chwilę derby Australii: Hewitt - Luczak.

Ferrero pokazał na RG w jakiej jest formie, wiec dlaczego tutaj miał pokazać coś wiecej:) dla mnie to żadne zaskoczenie.

Właśnie sie skończył mecz w Queens Istomin pokonał zawodnika gospodarzy. Uzbek naprawdę świetnie sie zaprezentował, widać ze trenował tu kilka dni. No ale Baker to zdecydowanie nie ta liga, grał strasznie delikatnie, ciekawy jestem jak Denis zaprezentuje sie na tle jakiegoś lepszego grajka....

Hewitt rozbił zgodnie z planem Luczaka, 6-2 6-2.

Dobra gra Rusty'ego, świetny return z którym miał spore problemy Luczak, jedynie serwis słabiej funkcjonował w grze Hewitta - 45 %. Myślę jednak że ze swoim doświadczeniem i ograniem na trawie, Lleyton jest poważnym kandydatem na finalistę z drugiej połówki.

Guccione 7-6 6-7 3-2 z Selą. Widać gdzie gramy

Halle Preview

The 18th edition of the Gerry Weber Open gets underway Monday with three seeds in action – No. 4 Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain, No. 7 Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus and No. 8 Lleyton Hewitt of Australia. In the first match on Stadium, Ferrero meets German lucky loser Dominik Meffert, who gained entry into the main draw when countryman Michael Berrer withdrew due an ankle injury. In the second match, Hewitt takes on countryman Peter Luczak for the first time. Both players are making their debut in Halle. In the third and final match, Baghdatis, a runner-up three years ago, takes on German No. 2 Philipp Petzschner for the first time.

The top seed is five-time champion Roger Federer, who is ranked No. 2 for the first time since the week of June 29, 2009. The Swiss superstar has a 32-3 career mark in Halle, winning titles in 2003-06 and 2008. Federer is coming off a quarter-final showing at Roland Garros. He has ranked No. 1 a total of 285 weeks, one week short of the record set by Pete Sampras (286). The No. 2 seed is World No. 5 Nikolay Davydenko, who makes his return to the ATP World Tour after being sidelined since mid-March with a wrist injury. Other seeds are: No. 3 Mikhail Youzhny of Russia, No. 4 Ferrero, No. 5 Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic, No. 6 Jurgen Melzer of Austria, No. 7 Baghdatis, and No. 8 Hewitt.

Jezu, ale ten Allegro jest padaczny. Nie wiem, czego Roger oczekiwał grając z rodakiem, chyba chciał dać mu zarobić parę groszy za ewentualny awans.
Nareszcie powiew świeżości z trawników, choć dzień nie zaczął się obiecująco.
O 13.30 przywitał nas na eurosporcie Sylwek Sikora, co naprawdę nie nastraja optymistycznie przed dalszym ciągiem sezonu grassowego.

Straszny jest mecz Dimitrova z Bogdanovicem. Bułgar będący jednym z moich ulubionych tenisistów nie poczynił absolutnie żadnych postępów od poprzedniego roku. Wciąż myli się przy banalnych piłkach i aż zęby bolą po kolejnych zepsutych wolejach czy niepewnych skończeniach wystawek.
A przecież tu nie chodzi o nieumiejętność gry na trawie, Bułgar to przecież mistrz juniorskiego Wimbla 2008!

Nareszcie grass Jakaś odmiana dla oczu A,że zielony kolro uspokaja to nawet słabe mecz tak nie denerwują.
Ciekawy mecz Gasqueta z Nishikorim, obu lubię, jednak Richard był zdecydowanie lepszy.
Potem mecz Dimitrova, aż strach patrzeć co się dzieje z tym chłopakiem. Jakby stanął w miejscu, przestał się rozwijać, w ubiegłym roku ograł Berdycha i urwał seta Nadalowi w Rotterdamie, mało brakło, a pokonałby Simona w Queen's. A to co wyprawiał dzisiaj momentami było straszne.
W Halle dwie sensacje. Odpadł Ferrero, który w ubiegłym roku na trawie poczynał sobie całkiem nieźle (1/2 w Queen's, 1/4 na Wimbledonie), a dziś przegrał z niemieckim lucky looserem Meffertem. Przegrał też Baghdatis, meczu nie widziałem, ale wynik mnie zmartwił. Wygrał Hewitt, ale tak, trawa jest dla Luczaka za szybka, to typowy "ziemniak" stworzony do gry na clayu.

Dimitrov zmienil trenera, moze zle to na niego wplynelo. Cieszy dobra dyspozycja Gasqueta, az tak latwego zwyciestwa nad Nishikorim sie nie spodziewalem. Przysiezny oczywiscie odpadl, szkoda slow. Milo rowniez, ze De Bakker, znany junior, powoli przedziera sie do swiatowej czolowki- wlasnie przeszedl runde w Halle, zreszta po dosc udanym wystepie na RG.

Dimitrov potrzebuje takich zwycięstw po walce, może to pomoże mu się przełamać. Miejmy nadzieje....

Ech ten Monfils to słaby, zaraz przegra z Niemcem i do bez jakieś większej walki. Mahut wygrał w dwóch setach pięknie. No ale nie raz dał sie dzisiaj przełamać, niepodobne to do niego na trawie;D

Zaraz Murray zobaczymy co pokaże, szykuje sie ciekawe spotkanie.

Niestety deszcz w tym roku skutecznie przeszkadza nam w oglądaniu Queens Clubu. Oby szybko przestało padać bo chce zobaczyć dzisiaj A-Roda w akcji.

niech jeszcze Murray przestanie się wygłupiać a Navarro... Swoją drogą jak to miło w czasie sesji zasiąść i popatrzeć na tą trawkę:) Tylko te niebieskie bandy, chyba sie już do nich nie przyzwyczaję.

A co do wyżej wspominanego Dimitrova to podzielam wszystkie uwagi. Nie mam pojęcia co się dzieje z tym chłopakiem, stanął poprostu. Może to rzeczywiście ten trener, czasem sobie nie zdajemy chyba sprawy jak nieodpowiedni coach jest w stanie namieszać w grze. Abstrahując, ostatnio czytałem wywiad z Radwańskim, w którym zapewniał że problemy Vaidisovej są spowodowane właśnie złym trenerem...
